The 2004 almond subjective forecast previously scheduled for announcement on May 11, 2004 will now be made on May 10, 2004 at 12:50 p.m. by California Agricultural Statistics Service (CASS). The forecast will be released simultaneously at the International Tree Nut Council Convention in Las Vegas, at the ABC Conference Room in Modesto and at the CASS office in Sacramento.

The forecast is based on a survey of approximately 400 almond growers throughout the state. A random sample of growers are contacted late in April to obtain their expected harvested acreage and production. The report will also be available on CASS's web page at 12:50 pm on May 10, 2004 at www.nass.usda.gov/ca.
