BERLIN, Germany – With the support of CMA (Centrale Marketing-Gesellschaft der deutschen Agrarwirtschaft mbH) Messe Berlin is bringing organic produce to the capital.“Bio and the City“ is the slogan for the modern hall concept at International Green Week’s 8th Bio Market in 2005, a concept which will bring all the diversity of organic produce to the demanding and lifestyle-conscious customer. Next year’s Bio-City will provide a surprisingly different setting for presenting ecological produce. Lonely farmyards and villages will be far from the mind when the Bio Market arrives with its vibrant, modern “city” style. Street signs will show the way around the halls, with quiet areas and lively boulevards blending into each other and setting the scene.

In the middle of these city surroundings the Bio-Plaza will be the main attraction: Every day the stage at the heart of the Bio-City will be the focal point of an informative and entertaining programme. On the day the fair opens visitors can expect some fascinating diversity, including culinary delights and comedy. After savouring a refreshingmiddaycocktail from organic produce visitors can follow this up with the comedy world of Käthe Lachmann.

The Bio Market is as diverse as the programme of events accompanying it, fresh, modern and down to earth. At Green Week 2005 the CMA will also kick off its latest national campaign for organic produce, under the heading ”Bio. Mir zuliebe.“ Ecologically produced food is not merely a short-lived trend, but guarantees long-term quality and also stands for genuine, pure and natural flavour.
